Privacy Policy

MemBrain is a personal assistant that works over WhatsApp and Telegram. This policy explains what we store and why.

What we collect

• Account identifiers — your WhatsApp or Telegram user ID, phone number, and display name, used to route messages to you.
• Message content — the texts you send, your voice notes and their transcriptions, and text extracted from photos you share, used to carry out your requests and to review and improve MemBrain.
• Your saved data — reminders, lists, tasks, and preferences you create.
• Previously connected calendars — calendar connections and event data may remain from earlier use. Google Calendar integration is temporarily unsupported; new connections and background sync are disabled.
• Payment metadata — order and transaction references from our payment gateway (SSLCommerz). We never see or store your card details.

How it is processed

Messages are processed by AI providers (language models, speech-to-text, and image reading) solely to respond to you. Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how MemBrain is used and improve it. By default, product analytics includes usage and performance information, and excludes conversation content. Conversation-content analytics can be enabled for review and improvement; when enabled, your messages, MemBrain's replies and links to voice notes may also be sent to PostHog. We do not sell your data.

We share conversion events with Meta to measure advertising. These may include ad-click identifiers, IP/browser details, hashed user identifiers and email when available, and purchase amount and currency. Conversation text is not included in these conversion events.

Data deletion

To delete your account and all associated data (messages, reminders, lists, calendar connections), email ascendai00@gmail.com from any address. If you use Telegram, include your Telegram username or user ID if known. If you do not know either, tell us you use Telegram so we can help identify your account. For WhatsApp, include the phone number you use with MemBrain. Deletion completes within 30 days. You can also contact us to delete a previously connected calendar.
